Well, I am officially starting on a new website for myself and hopefully my future. What is this? Well, I am going to attempt to make a living (some sort of one) off of photography. So I am re-branding myself and moving forward with plans to make a portfolio/business website related to my work. Hopefully I don’t make this into another never ending project…
Let’s hope I can get this done by the weekend, because if school doesn’t appeal my financial aid request, then I won’t be going back to school for a while, and have to make money.

“I have no right to give an opinion on what makes a great brain surgery because – wait for it, I am not a brain surgeon. When you receive criticism from “The Internets” consider the source. If the person commenting on your photo, good or bad, has no standing, no experience, no credibility, no authority, a lousy portfolio and they hide behind a fake name, move on. You’re wasting your time. You’re not going to get anything of value in that situation so don’t subject yourself to the madness.”

There is a great article on the subject of online critiquing and why your opinion probably doesn’t matter. IE, the difference between constructive criticism and someone who knows what they are doing and or is a professional.
I want to make the stand here, that the “groups” on DeviantArt are in NO WAY professionals and usually don’t know what they are doing. Even on here you get the assholes that think they have some kind of opinion that I or other artists/photographers will listen to. They are just trolls, with no merit and no backing.
Now, this isn’t to say that I don’t like constructive criticism, but if you are going to leave any, the first thing I will do is take a look at your work and base my response on that. Don’t think that your hot shit because you get 1,000 favs for that shitty cat picture…. Because in the real world, you’re not. There is a reason I have been and am currently paying a LOT of money for schooling and equipment to do what I love professionally.
TL/DR I just have to vent… Sorry.
